    DAG German 7.62x51mm Ammo SRT Polymer Training 1000 Rounds

    This is live ammunition with polymer casings and projectiles. fires a 10gr projectile. surprisingly accurate at distances as far as 300 yards. this ammo is non corrosive, non reloadable. due to the light recoil and projectile weight, it requires manual cycling in semi automatic rifles. great for building marksmanship skills, plinking and even light varminting. German manufactured (Dynamit Nobel) military surplus 308 short range training ammunition features a 10 grain plastic bullet. The plastic case has a steel base with lead free primer. This ammunition is non-corrosive and is the same ammo used by NATO. Perfect for indoor target practice. Accurate up to 300 meters. This ammunition will NOT cycle in a semi-automatic rifle.

    This comes packages as 10 boxes of 50 rounds in a 500 round battle pack. The case comes as 2 battle packs of 500 rounds for a total of 1,000 rounds.

    This ammo works perfectly in the PTR 91 rifle running the correct light HK bolt carrier that it was designed to be used with.

    Look, this is training ammo. We used this ammo when training with German Soldiers in their Live Fire MOUT Site. That's "Military Operations in Urban Terrain. The plastic projectile doesn't destroy their buildings. Also, when they use these, they have to change their bolts to ones that are lighter and specially designed to function with these rounds. They will not function properly without it. They are also designed to fire out of the H&K G3 rifle. The primers are harder than standard primers. They're made for the military. Don't expect these rounds to function in your rifle like standard ball ammo. Do some research before attempting to use these specially designed rounds.

    From reading reviews of this round, it looked like a good low cost .308 round, but after buying 1K rounds only about 1 and 4 fired. Reading other reviews, it looks like you hit a good lot # or you get a c****y lot that only fires 1 out of 4. If you have a torch and a vase, you can make an extractor tool from a micro screwdriver. Donn't know it has to do with light primer strikes, or bad head spacing because of the plastic shell case. But from the one that did fire, at least the hit would differently knock the wind out of them and put them on their butt. In reality this is a plinking round that has problems.

    Everything I have purchased from Target Sports to date has been fine, but this stuff is a dissapointing waste. Thought it would be good for cheap plinking with M1A and Remington 700. So far, at least about 40% have been duds and/or will not extract. Might be good in whatever the current German military rifle is, but not in my guns.
